Monello Pizza

Located in the heart of Little Italy this new restaurant (part of the Bencotto family) has really made a quick name for itself. Having an appreciation for GRAPPA really gives Monello a few more notches in my book. They serve specialty drinks with Grappa being the foundation for all of them.

I’m constantly looking for the best pizza and this one is right up to par with the best to be found in San Diego. I highly suggest trying the Piccante Pizza with arrabiata sauce (spicy red sauce) and spicy salame.

The Fritti Vegetables are also a big hit here and the cavolfiora (cauliflower) and spicy ailo is the perfect pick!
